Show your support for Kris Harpel (Simon) Huhner Saturday, October 10th from 4pm to 9pm at the KC Hall in New Prague. On the menu is hot beef and roast turkey sandwiches. Kris was diagnosed with Interhepatic Chonlangiocarcinoma (bile duct/liver) cancer in May 2015. She had surgery to remove a large tumor and is now undergoing chemotherapy. There will be a breast cancer benefit for Nicole Hafermann Saturday, October 10th from 4 pm to 7 pm at the End Zone Bar and Grill in Elko. The American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring an all you can eat spaghetti supper Tuesday, October 13th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Park Ballroom in New Prague. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children (5-9 years) and children under 4 years eat free. Proceeds fund their scholarship program. The Knights of Columbus Council 1509 is having their "Famous" Fish Boil Friday, October 23rd from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, Minnesota. On the menu is boiled Icelandic Pollock, carrots, potatoes and onions, and cherry or apple pie. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children age 6-12 and free for children under 6. They will also be selling cold beer.
Come enjoy a Halloween event at the Central Education Campus Gymnasium (park in the north/west lot) Friday, October 23rd from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. This event is for children up to kindergarten age and their parents and is sponsored by Early Childhood Family Education.
